From Historic Pittsburgh:
....Waterford, Pa....the stockade fort built by Major Ebenezer Denny, in 1794, was later commanded by Lieutenant Martin, and was succeeded by a new blockhouse, built in 1797, which was used as a storehouse and place of imprisonment of prisoners during the War of 1812, and later was connected with other buildings and turned in to the 'Blockhouse Hotel.'" This source cited the hotel's name as Le Boeuf.
