John LeBreton, Royal Newfoundland regiment; engineer officer under Proctor in the expedition to the forts of the Miamis (Fort Meigs on the Maumee), May, 1815 deputy assistant quartermaster general on the staff of Lieut. Gen. Sir Gordon Drummond severely wounded at Lundy's Lane ,July 25, 1814; commended in general orders for his gallant and conspicuous conduct. An intelligent and trustworthy young officer. [Source]
